Image Compression

Solved!

Hi all!

I have an image, it is very large : 4724 x 3496. So my Pattern/Geom/Golden Matching algorithms are so slow. Is it possible to convert them a smaller one, without information loss?

TRy downsampling the image. But it really depends on your final application anyway. For measurements more pixels is boon. For just identifying stuffs the processing time will increase.

What is the camera that you are using. Can you play with the settingsso that you capture a lesser resolution picture? Can you mask of certain region if you are sure you are not going to get useful info from that region. And as i suggested above you can also try the downsampling from vision assistant like this
