Why does MS Access 2000 Lock up every time I link the traces table.

Why can't I get the Lookout Citadel database to work with Access 2000. Trying to link the Traces database locks up Access. I want an easy way to produce reports without using Excel.Going thru tables seems like a waste of time when I have a database available (citadel). Help me understand

Hi,

I've never heard that Access would lock up the Citadel database. Maybe you contact National Instruments Support team to reproduce this issue.

National Instruments prefered solution for big, powerful, nice report generation is done with DIAdem that includes a plug-in to read Citadel 4 data. Please check it out or download the evaluation version!

However, if you still want to keep MS stock up you might check out the KB Accessing Citadel Data from Other Software and Accessing Citadel Data with Microsoft Access

PS: By the way - the new Citadel 5/LabVIEW DSC 7 ODBC driver is much more powerful and is compatible with SQL/92 and ODBC 2.5!

Oh, yea, my PS comment does not make sense since we talk here about Lookout and not LV DSC. Sorry for the confusion; but Lookout 5.1 is not supporting Citadel 5 (yet?).
