LabWindows/CVI 2015 IDE closes after modifying source code.

I am using LabWindows/CVI 2015 on a Windows 10 machine.  Just recently when I modify the code I'm working on and click the Green Arrow (Debug Project) icon, the IDE will shut down.  When I launch the IDE again and click the Green Arrow, it will run the program.  If I close my application and click the Green Arrow again, the IDE closes again.

Any idea why this is happening?  Could this be a Windows Update issue?  I uninstalled LabWindows, restarted the PC. and re-installed it and it still doing the same thing.  I also shut off our virus protection as will as Windows firewall.

that will be no help to you but I have a similar problem, if I just do a Clean or a Rebuild, the IDE crashes (normal builds work fine, obviously). I've had this problem for the past 20 years or so, with every version of CVI, so it must be something in my config that gets carried from version to version (I don't think I've ever done a clean install). I've notified NI a few times with crash dumps, to no avail...
