wiring linear potentiometer

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi, I'm new to NI and LabVIEW

I got a cDAQ-9185 with 4 modules:

- NI 9201

- NI 9219

- NI 9411

- NI 9472

I'm troubling with wiring and setting up a linear potentiometer in LabVIEW which goes from 0-8k ohm with 3 wires.

Any help?

Best regards,

Morten

This is actually an instrumentation question and not a LabVIEW question.  You don't wire a potentiometer to LabVIEW.

One side to analog ground.

Other side to +10V DC power source.  (Assuming DAQ card handles 0-10 or +/- 10V DC range.)

The wiper to the analog input of your DAQ card.
