simulate device

Hi,

I am testing my acquisition program in my laptop, but in my laptop I haven't any NI Device installed, then how can I simulate this? Could I create a new device in measurement and automation software for simuate this? If this is possible, how could I do this?

Hi,

If you want to simulate a DAQmx card, it could be easy. Else I don't know.

Which Version of LabVIEW and DAQmx are you running?

Goto MAX (you should have a recent version) select create new from devices and interfaces (right click).  Scroll down to the yellow simulated devices list, then select the card wou want to add.  address this simulated device with DAQmx calls just as you would have with a real device.  Its that easy.
