simple xy graph

Can some one attach an example on how to make a simple graph external input on y axis, current time on the x-axis? Cant find an example.

Ive tried to plot a graph using the same technique as your examples, but its not letting me connect? How do I correct this? What is the difference between what Im trying to do and the example?

Program is attched, attempting to plot the graph at the top of the block diagram.

First try to know the difference between XY graph and Waveform charts.

Iv tried so many different things but I still can't seem to plot the u value from the I/O assistant against the time. I want to just get 1 poit per loop, but it won't let me?What is the simplest way?
