scxi and drivers?

Hi,

I have a SCXI 1000, with a 1100 unit, a scxi 1520 unit and a scxi 1600 unit. Now when I connect it, I only get a "USB not recognize unit".

I have installed NI-DAQmx 9.1 and LabVIEW 9.01 32 bit, do I need more? I have never tried to use SCXI before.

I runs at Windows7 64bit.

Try restartting the system and if still does not work uninstall the drivers and reinstall

did you manually tried addding this new hardware by "add hardware" wizaed in the "control panel"?

Hm it wont seems to add it, but it found it under units, complaining about missing drivers?

Hmm I found this for NI-DAQmx 9.0.2;

The following devices are not supported in NI-DAQmx on Windows 7 (64-bit version) or Windows Vista x64:

• NI DAQCard-6024E 200 kS/s, 12-bit, 16 analog input channel, two analog output channel, 8 digital I/O line, two counter/timer device
• NI DAQCard-6036E 200 kS/s, 16-bit, 16 analog input channel, two analog output channel, 8 digital I/O line, two counter/timer device
• NI DAQCard-6062E 500 kS/s, 12-bit, 16 analog input channel device
• NI DAQCard-6715 for PCMCIA 1 MS/s 12-bit analog output device
• NI DAQCard-DIO-24 for PCMCIA 24-channel 5V/TTL/CMOS digital I/O device
• NI SCXI-1600 USB module

Does anyone know if the NI SCXI-1600 works with Windows 7 64 bit, in the new version 9.1?

For those USB devices, there are not currently plans to add support for 64-bit operating systems.  This is due to incompatibilities between the USB design of these older devices and the USB implementation in 64-bit version of Windows.

Thanks, that explains my problems. Well I guess that I just have to go for Windows 7 32bit, instead.
