Seemingly minor changes....can mean the difference between a working app and a quivering heap of unresponsive code. I'm guessing something changed.

Seriously, we need a lot more details than that in order to help. Did anything change? What was the application doing? Were there any power surges? There are a limitless number of reasons we can give with the complete lack of information given.
