report generation toolkit does not work

Hello,
The report generation toolkit does not work.
It seems to point to the 'Generate Report Data Members.ctl'.
I suppose it has something to do with the wrong set of active X-controls ?
I work with Win 2000 and Office XP
How can i solve this problem ?
Thanks in advance !
Regards
Christine

By having a closer look, it is not the Microsoft activeX-controls, that causes the problem, but the NIReport.report itself
I removed methods and properties refering to this control and it works.
Within my application, i do not need the NIReport.report control, so for me and for now,  the problem is solved.
But i would like to know what is happening with the NIReports.report control

Thanks in advance
Regards
Christine

Hello Christine,

Did you receive any error code? If so, could you send us a screenshot of the error message? Then we can know a little bit more about the error.

Thanks,

Hello Julien,

Sorry for the late answer
I become a broken arrow, when openening the example Sample Report (Excel).vi
Searching further for the cause of the error it brings me to the sub vi tables.

Hello Christine,

Have you done an upgrade of Microsoft Office after installing the report generation toolkit? This is what error means I think. If so, I proposed you to uninstall the report generation toolkit and re-install it to heve the correct files for LabVIEW that support the proper version of Office you have.

Maybe the better way for you to resolve this issue is to relink the property/invoke nodes to the correct methodes/properties.

Hello Julien,

I was pretty sure that i installed the report generation toolkit after our upgrade to office xp. But as you proposed, i deinstalled and then installed the report generation toolkit.

The same error occurs.

If i try to select a property on the property node 'Report', labview doesn't do anything and there are no properties available to choose from. Same for the methods on the invoke node 'IReportData'. There are no methods to choose from and if you try to select one, labview doesn't do anything.

Regards

Christine

Christine,

One question yet. Which version of the Report Generation Toolkit are you using? (You can see it in the Measurement and Automation Explorer under the folder 'software')

Christine,

I had exactly the same problem.  I managed to correct mine.

Did you have a previous release of the toolkit installed under 8.0 or 8.2?  What was the date on the last toolkit you installed?
