reading excel, .txt files and displaying them?

Hi, basically i needs to read an excel file or .txt file. What i want to do with it istake this excel file back into labview by reading it, then display data as a columns and rows of results and also to take the data and display them as graphs with may be different axis e.g.time, temp etc. The excel results have 5 headers and then columns of results to each header. Any help greatly appreciated.

This should just get you started.
For a text file, try using the VI, "Read from Spreadsheet File" located on the "Functions" palette, "File I/O" sub-palette.
For an Excel file, look at the library included with LabVIEW for an example of how to interface with Excel (National Instruments\LabVIEW 6.1\examples\comm\ExcelExamples.llb)

You may also want to look of .csv file formating (excel can save this way). This a comma delimited format which is easy to read into LabVIEW with some simple coding.
