Greetings,
I emailed some untested code to a co-worker - it would have worked but for this unexpected "feature".
The result returned by Join Numbers may depend on the source - not value - of its inputs!

Must be a bug.
I ran that code in LV2009SP1 and got the same results you show on your front panel.
I ran it in LV 2010f2, and I got the expected results where all were identical.
