Serial to USB connection?

My name is Binh.  I currently have a problem with LabView connection, I read answers to the similar topic but still not figure it out, and so, I wonder if anyone can give me more hints.  My LabView program illustrates what happen in the PCB through serial connection to PC (both CAN232 connection for the PCB and the PC).  Later on, I want to change it to USB connection to PC.  I have all the USB drivers, so the program was run on the computer fine, but it does not input anything from PCB.  I thought it’s something relate to Serial Port Access need to modify, but I don’t know where to start.  Please suggest some hints if you can.  Thank you very much for your time.

Hmmm.  Its a bit difficult to understand your question.  Perhaps you could illustrate with a diagram or maybe even a photo?

Are you trying to use a USB/RS232 converter like this one?

Both serial connections and USB connections will be visible as COM ports.

Provided that the driver is installed for the USB connections, you should be able to look at your Device Manager to figure out which COM ports they are on.
