problem with tutorial example

I am trying to load this example from the tutorial site http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5086 but when i run it on Labview 7.1 it give an error see attached pic. The error is:

"You have connected a scalar (non-array) data type to an array of the same data type. This type conflict may be resolved by building the scalar type into an array. Check for a tunnel on a loop that has indexing incorrectly disabled.
The type of the source is void.
The type of the sink is 1-D array of DAQmx Device."

How to resolve this.

I don't get a broken wire when I open it with 7.1. The download page says that DAQmx version 8.3 is the minimum version. What version do you have?

Start Measurement and Automation Explorer and expand the software listing that you see in the configuration window on the left side. Click on the DAQmx listing and the version will be displayed in the window on the right side. I don't remember which version of DAQmx shipped with 7.1 but I'm certain it wasn't 8.3. You can select from the various DAQmx versions at http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/fn/p/sb/navsRel/lang/en?q=DAQmx&x=14&y=8. The latest is version 8.5.
