How to create error terminals on an ADD- node

Hi community,
when I was just browsing through the example finder, I found in the "...LabVIEW 8.2\examples\Time Series Analysis\TSAGettingStarted.llb\Correlation Analysis.vi" this node. It seems quite usable, but how was this done?

That happens automatically when the inputs (both of them) are of the "waveform" datatype.

It's not really for dataflow and it's useable with waveform data only because there are conditions that can cause an error. For example, if you attempt to do a add of waveforms with a different dt, you get an error.
