picomotor connect

Hi, everyone

 

I am trying to put the picro communicate with the computer, but due to I am new hand. So I need your help!!

 

I connect the picomotor to the computer with RJ-45, but my computer cannot find the TCP/IP port, what should I do before open labview?

 

Besides, hyperterminial can be use to test picomotor connect or not?  the host address and name are ?

use ethereal or wireshark to find out the ip address the picomotor is using when it is powered up. Power down the picomotor. Start ethereal and start a capture on your network card. Turn on the picomotor, then look at the ARP info requests as it boots up. This should at least tell you the ip address that the device is using, then you can setup your ip address in the computer. Then try to ping the picomotor from the computer. Does the supplier have a test program for the motor??

I still have some questions, when I use hand terminal to find out the ip address, however it shows ip is 0.0.0.0.(I cant change ip through hand terminal)

 

I saw the computer has limited connect when I power up the picomotor with RJ-45 and the computer show the connected ip address some details(hand terminal shows 0.0.0.0). 

 

What should I do to connect successful?
