peak hold function in LabVIEW

Hi,
I have a filtered signal in which I need to get the values of all my peaks (positive and negatives) and afterwards get the mean value. Some oscilloscopes have this function implemented, but I haven't found such a subVI in LabVIEW. Is there any chance to get this function or I have to program it? In this case, I've thought using the derivates of the signal and compare the values and check the derivate tendence, but I think that this function will made my process very slow. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,

Angel

Just by doing a quick search on the functions pallete I found two VI's that should do what you want. the is a mean.vi and a peak hold vi. I do not know if you have already found them and they will not work or if you could not find them. these VI's may not be avaiable if you have the base package.

I Use labview 7.0 (full)

There are two VIs shipped with LabVIEW Full/Pro for peak detection.

Functions>>Analysis>>Signal Processing>>Time Domain>>Peak Detector.vi or
Functions>>Analysis>>Signal Processing>>Time Domain>>Threshold Peak Detector.vi

Thank you for your information. But I haven´t found these peak hold vi in LabView 7.0. Do you use additional an tool kit for this function? Please let me know, where I can download it, because I would like to measure the peak hold signal over the time.

bring up the functions pallette and click on search, then in the search box type in peak or mean or whatever you want to find and it will show the vi's i tokd you about. You must have the full or Pro version for some of these vi's. I do not have any extra add on toolkits just the full version of labview 7.0.

DSP is also telling you where they are on the functions pallette. follow his path and you will find what you need if you have the full version of labview and not the base package.

Sorry dsp just now read your post
