opening a jpg

does anyone know if its possible to open a jpg image and store the image as a matrix in labview??

and how?

There are image reading functions in the Graphics & Sound -> Graphics Formats palette. You can take the image data and reorganize it into any format you wish.

After opening the file using the VI's shown by smercurio, the image data will be in array.  Do you need to convert the array into a matrix?  or will the array be suitable?
