myRIO LCD FPGA mode

Hello, 

I am working on a labVIEW project that is FPGA mode. Ive been intending to use an i2c LCD with myRIO in FPGA mode, however, i do not know how to get that done. I've tried running the LCD in scan mode without any FPGA related and it works fine, but i cannot seem to know how to start it in FPGA mode.

I'm not sure, but I would expect the RIO evaluation board to work the same:
