mp3 file to waveform data

Does anyone know how to convert a MP3 file to waveform data? Any help is appreciated.

It may just be me but I am not quite sure what your are asking.

Are you simply asking how to convert a data type or is there more that you need?

I would suggest re-posting to the Vision group and maybe Bruce or Irene will have ideas.

I have never seen an example that does this. I recommend converting the MP3 to a wav file with another program. This should become a simple array that you can read into labVIEW and build into a waveform if needed.

Yes, it's doable, unfortunately not directly in LabVIEW. The same technique that I did for IVision can be used for audio, but I don't have existing functions at the moment. If you want, I can make up for you. Contact me for more details at:
