labview rt operating system

Can I use LabView RT, develop my app on a PC, if my target has to run VxWorks?  If yes, how do Pharlap and VxWorks intermix.  If not, do you have
any suggestions.  Also, does LabView and LabViewRT have to run on PC or can it run on a Solaris 8.

Hi Mr.Bean,

The code developed with LabView RT module works only on LabVIEW Real-Time Deployment Platforms. So, you cannot run it on VxWorks or use the LabView RT Development module on Solaris OS. Please take a look at the links below for more information.

Hope this helps!

It looks like the newer versions of LabVIEW only support Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Is that true? What's the last version to support Solaris?

LabVIEW 8 no longer supports Solaris. LabVIEW 7.1 supported Solaris 7 or higher. LabVIEW 7.0 supported Sun Solaris 2.x.
