is there a way to use formulas from the front panel?

i would like the software user to be able to change a formula from the front panel, is there an easy way to to this?

If you've got something better than the base package of LabVIEW, there's Eval Formula Node on the functions palette (Mathematics->Formula->Eval Formula Node.vi) or Eval Formula String on the Advanced Formula Parsing sub-palette.
