image processing in Lab VIEW 8.0

Hi,

                Here is my mini  project which is the part of my project.

In the attached zipped folder ,there are  images of electric fuses.

I have to write a LabVIEW program that detects:

1. the broken or damaged fuses in images 7 and 8
2. the orientation (up/down) of the wire in the other images.

                                             I am not familiar with Lab VIEW 8.0,Previously I worked on Lab VIEW 6i.Please help in finding solution for this.

hmm... i dont' think LabVIEW is that powerful... you might want to direct your problem to supports

This should be no problem for the Vision Module for LabView. I guess a Pattern Matching algorith should be able to find the damaged parts and detect the orientation of the wires. Best would be to contact your local sales office and discuss the details with a IMAQ/VISION specialist (The correct camera, lightning etc. are important parameters....)

the imaq vision builder comes with an example doing exactly what you want - even the pix are "similar"
