Sorry karans.  This thread was started 10 years ago.  The last entry here was in 2008.  I don't think the original poster is still around.  Look to NI for help with I2C.  They have a device called NI-8451 that does I2C communications.

Hello, I am interested in the VI. I have to communicate with the SMbus interface of an EV 2400, and the NI toolkit for DSP seems not too efficient. Can you email me your VI on vecchio.fabri@gmail.com?
