how to add 3dgraph object in powerpoint

Hi all

How one can add 3dgraph object in to a powerpoint on a system which doesnot have Labview installed on it. I know the basic thing of importing 3dgraph in to powerpoint by using 3dgraph properties. My question is how we can add or register 3dgraph objects on a system which doesnot have Labview on it so that we can rotate 3d graph. I have done this earlier and it gives this message that this is the evaluation version.

Please help

Thanks

It sounds like you're talking about the ComponentWorks 3D Graph Control. An evaluation version of this is provided with LabVIEW, but it's a separate product.

Thanks for your reply. But this is not what I am looking for. I want to open up a powerpoint presentation having 3dgraphs on a computer which doesnot have labview installed on it ( which restricts me from rotating the graph), however this presentation runs fine on my computer. I did a thing earlier where you copy a file of 3dgraph from the computer which has labview installed on it and then put it in windows system folder on the machine which doesn't have labview and then you can rotate the graph in powerpoint and it displays a message in red that this is only evaluation version.

Hi Ankit,

I'll admit that I am pushing the limits of my knowledge before I say;

I beleive the ActiveX object should execute in any app that supports ActiveX containers.

Are you telling me the the "ppt" I posted in reply #11 of this thread will NOT allow you to rotate the image when opened in PowerPoint?

Doing what little I can to help,

Ben

Thanks for your reply. I can rotate the 3dgraph in cog1.ppt on the machine which has labview installed on it but not on the machine which doesn't have labview and there is away to do this.

Hi Ankit,

Since machines without LabVIEW are rare in my part of the world, I have nver noticed this.

I'll request support on this Q to see if they can tell us if and how.

Ben,

Isn't your example using the ComponentWorks 3D Graph control? At least that's what shows up when I open the document in PowerPoint and right-click on the object.
