hex string to decimal number

As attached. If input a positive number, all right. If input negative number, the result is strange.

Look at this picture. You are comparing a I32 (signed) with a U32 (unsigned). Same number big difference:manhappy:


Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

Hi Opt_Ottawa,

 

you really should be careful about datatypes! Your "input" is different to "output" regarding the datatype. You should also spot this red dot at one input of the equal operator - this is Labview's way of telling you to check datatypes!

 

The"hex string to number" has a default input where you can set the required datatype too - RTFMor atleast the context help carefully!
