I have a program running which randomly generates Error 5(even though the particular file is not opened) and also i am getting Error 6 (checked the hard disc, its not full)

Thanks

Hi Veeru,

Can you be more specific on the software you're running (maybe include the VI itself) and the error you get? It's quite hard to tell what's going on with the given details.

Best regards,

Peter S

Also, some error codes carry more than one meaning depending on the situation. For instance, error 5 can mean either (a) "LabVIEW:  File already open.", or (b) "NI-488:  Command requires GPIB Controller to be System Controller" (if related to instrument communication). Same thing for error 6. Without some code to look at or some explanation as to what you're doing it's just guesswork.
