ft_prog utility eeprom

I am trying to program the EEprom of an ftdi ft2232D using ft_prog utility,I have  clicked on scan and parse and then went to usb descriptor string and changed the product description after which I clicked program devices but ,on clicking programming I get a message saying unhandled exception has occurred in your application.How do I resolve this problem?Thank you in advance.

• What did you change it from and too?
• Does it work if you change it back to the origninal?

i don't know if i have understood your question but i have attached a power point file with the image of ft_prog utility,apparently the product description is USB serial converter....i want to change that to a generic description,,,lets say pippo

I'm sorry but I cannot understand why you are posting to LabVIEW board: what exactly are you trying to accomplish with LabVIEW and what behaviour you are observing?
