extracting the values from array

I am trying to extract the data from a com port. I have made the for loop to decode the read  instruction word from the device. i now want to split the instruction word as i know first few bytes contain values that are of use to me. i read it into an array and now i am trying to extract the values from initial bytes of array. i have a example snipe that i can refer to. it has these two particular elements in example vi that i am not able to recognise. can someone help me what exactly these elements are? i have attached a snipe encircling both.

The larger one is Index Array and the other one is Concatenate Strings.
