I successfully downloaded it on two different computers and installed with no problem running on XP.
I used firefox to download it, IE seems to get  a connection reset fairly often with large files.  Thus, you do not get the entire file.

Hi Takimi,
It sounds like your file was corrupt. Like Stradis mentioned, try using Firefox or other download manager such as FlashGet to download the file.
LabVIEW 8.5 does support Windows XP, so you shouldn't have problems there.

Hi Yi Y....

thank you for your suggestion. actually, I was using firefox already..and have installed the flashget. for the 1st time using flashget, the error occurs like before. after that, I try using free download manager... but it's dissapoint me. It seems to get a connection reset fairly often with large files. so, 4 the forth times, i try again with flashget..finally ..This mornin'...i can extract the files and install it normally.. its sound like funny right..but thank u very much again...

Hi,

During instalation of Labview 8.5 from an evaluation copy CD, I got Error 1335, stating that Mib.cab was corrupt.
The installation program also asks for a driver CD. After this the rest of the instalation fails.
My default browser is allready Firefox if this would matter at all when installing from CD.

How can I solve this problem?

PietPuk,

It is possible you received a corrupt install CD. Have you tried to install this software on another computer?

No, and actually I don't have another computer available to try this. Of course it is possible that my installation CD has an error on it, but then I would't like to know how to compensate. What I can see is that it is an original evaluation CD which the company who asked me to practise working with Labview received from National Instruments. (Because of the label on the CD and protecting cover.) So I don't know how likely it would be that one of those would contain a corrupt file. Or what else could explain the error message. Or the fact that each time my computer starts an error message appears stating that a fatal error occurred in National Instruments and it will be shut down. Probably I might need to uninstall it (even though installation failed) before being able to get it working. But would it be possible to get an intact verion of the corrupt file ? RB

I recommend downloading the evaluation version of LabVIEW from our website,  which can be found here.

When Installing after downloading the file from the location you suggested installation from this version results in exactly the same error message and fails likewise. Do you have any idea what could be the cause of this? RB
