device works using max but not with VI

You are definitely right. I checked and device sccepts only  decimals sepertated by point not by comma. On the other hand, "format into string" function generates digits with comma(2,33)how can convert it to poin( 2.00)?

If you use a %.; specifier before the %.4f, it will force Format Into String to use a . as a decimal separator.

Edit: To be clear, that's % and then the period and then a semi colon. This is also explained in the on-line help for format specifiers syntax.
