cwgraph3d interpolation - ignored points

I'm using cwgraph3d to plot the thickness of a concrete structure. Unfortunately the interpolation algorithm misses some of the measurement points as shown in the two attached pictures. I can't figure out how to make cwgraph3d to include those points. It's most important to have all measurement points included. See picutes LinePlotSmall.JPG / SurfacePlotSmall.JPG and LinePlotBig.JPG.

Secondly, the interpolation always uses triangles - interpolating diagonally only in one direction. This leads to under- or overevaluation of certain areas. Is there a possiblilty to use a more sophisticated algorithm, one that includes all the surrounding points? Best visible is this problem in picture SurfacePlotSmall.JPG. The centre point is only interpolated from left to right. If interpolated from bottom to top, the estimated thickness changes considerably but is just as imprecise.

3-d graph questions are difficult to understand or correct with out the data and an example.

Please post an example that includes data (saved as constant in control or on diagram) nad what you are attempting.

Thank you for your help. I just posted the .vi for the mesh: http://www.smartmote.de/images/3D-Mesh.vi. If you need more information, please let me know and I shall post it.

Looks like the posted .vi didn't work for some reason. I just replaced it, please try again.

Looks like a bug to me!

It does not miss the points if you do a 3-d parametric plot.

I'll flag this thrad for bug tracking.

Hello RobertH,

you're wecome for the feedback. Just what can I do now? I still have the same problem. Also any ideas about another interpolation algorithm as mentioned above? Thank you very much,

Frank
