Hello,
I need to convert 10 MHz analog reference clock (from our synthesizer) to 10 and 5 MHz TTL. Can I use my PCI 6024E or 6602 cards for this task? The 10 and 5 MHz TTL will be used to synchronize and trigger a digital delay generator.
Thanks,
Chuman

I believe you can use an external timing source for your PCI 6024E (as long as the signals parameters suit the input characteristics of the device's counter inputs). The specs say the counter will work up to 20MHz. So you may be able to do it.
Wouldn't it be easier to do it with a transistor and a logic IC or two?
You can search in the NI Example Finder for how to use a counter input as an external timing source. But I'm pretty sure they expect logic levels into the digital inputs, so you may need to do some signal conditioning anyway. Then you could use that external clock to time another counter output.

Troy. Thanks for the insight. We will use a transistor/IC circuit for conversion. Much easier.
