cannot communicate using VISA

i'm a new user of labview 7.0 and trying to communicate with philips function generator PM5191. when i'm communicate using instrument io assistant, the front panel of the PM5191 is changing and i can get the output signal as i set in the string, but when i communicate using VISA, the front panel is changing but i cannot get the expected output from the PM5191. why?

are you sure your settings are correct? Start using shipped examples (Basic Serial Read and Write). Can you show your code or a picture of it?

First, you are not sending the same commands in the one with the VISA Write functions (look at the second VISA Write). Second, have you tried append a CR like you are doing in the assistant. Lastly, have you looked at the drivers for similar Phillips instruments? There's one for the PM5192 that might be similar to your 5191.
