Hi
I am working on processing of audio files.
Suppose I have multiple .wav files. Is there any wav to append all the wav files to some other file?

There's lots of programs available to merge audio files out there. Google for them. Some will have a command-line interface that you can call via System Exec.

I did search , however all the examples are of merging not appending. I mean if I have 2 files of 40s and 20s then the resultant file should be of 60s

I did a search for append 2 wav files and a number of tools came up. You will have to try them to see if they are suitable. to get you started theres sox (command line tool that does a cross fade tape splice) and wavjoiner (not sure if it has command line interface).
Hope it helps

Merging and appending are the same thing.
