I may be running into a problem soon.
I currently work on two different projects that use LabVIEW. One is using 2012 sp1 the other is using v7.1. I am currently running XP so everything is OK. My PC is due for replacement soon and the new box will have Windows7 installed. I have to continue supporting v7.1 because it is installed on some test equipment and the project will not upgrade to a later version. I have read that the v7.1 drivers do not play with Windows7. I only use the PC at my desk for creating & editing VIs, no hardware or drivers are installed.
Question is, will I be able to run the v7.1 environment under Windows7 for editing only (no drivers)? I hope so, because I really don't want to install the MS virtual machine and XP mode to support it.
TIA,
Charlie
