can somebody please tell me what this symbol is for?

That is the stop terminal for a loop that has been change to become a continue terminal by clicking on it.  It turned mustard color when the error wire was run to it.

So it means the loop will continue on error.

Continue while error - its a stop condition for a loop - if there is no error the loop will stop, if there is an error the loop will continue.
