How do you think they found the fifth dimension in LV. Don't you know in LV you can access most anything in the RC menu.
Maybe Michael saw the Fifth dimension in the RC menu and said Hmm and clicked on it and away went LAVA. Poor Michael, we will miss LAVA.

I have my own theory.
I think it came down to a turf war between Michael and the Evil Dr. Clerf. Michael wanted to create a singularity with scripting, and the Evil Dr. Clerf wanted to use the supercollider with the x-control. A battle of egos ensued, both started cranking out code, hitting buttons and front panel controls willy-nilly. A singularity was created and both were sucked up into it ... trapped in the 5th dimension ... where Alpha has been waiting all along.
We ... may ... never ... see ... LAVA ... again.

Oh yeah, cool.
No more Alfa for a while 😄

Looking at that situation with an engineering eye, can we ever say that a singularity is twice as big as it has to be?
I hope it comes back to ensure my palandrome (Avalon did no LAVA ) does not fade into oblivion. But unlike Avalon, I still have bumper sticker to prove it was real.

I think NI closed down LAVA, using some hidden scripting feature, just to get LAVA posters over to the dark side...
And this thread proves it

Nope, I spoke to, and he has been aware that LAVA is down, (and has been since last week) and he mentioned to me that he informed the guy in charge (not really sure who the top admin is).
If I hear any thing else I'll be sure and post it here.

I sent a message out to all the LAVA members but just in case you haven't got it yet:
Due to a technical issue, that cannot be quickly resolved, the LAVA Forums are down right now. There has been a lot of advancements in the online world since we launched LAVA in 2002, so we’re taking this downtime opportunity to re-evaluate the future direction of the whole LAVA community experience. We’ll keep you in the loop with further developments as they happen. Note: you can still access the LAVA LabVIEW Wiki as normal.
Also, just to clarify. I gave birth to LAVA and am the "guy in charge".

Thinking this through again! Yes Ben, we can declare accurately and correctly that a singularity is twice as big as it has to be. In fact it is any number of times bigger or smaller than it has to be and any number of times bigger or smaller than it is. The math seems to gets funny in compacted dimensionalities but, we can ignore the higher order dimensions predicted in the various string theories because they are orthagonal to spacetime dimensions (hence compacted)
