Using VSA 86900 with Labview 2016

Hello,

I have a PXA N9030a from Keysight. I have installed the VSA 86900 software onto it. I am trying to get it to communicate with LabVIEW so that i can start coding it for research use. I saw some stuff with using ActiveX to get it to communicate, but when I have them both on I do not see the VSA show up as an item for ActiveX. Is there other ways to get this software to work with LabVIEW?

Thanks for any help

If you have installed the VSA software on the PXA you won't be able to use the ActiveX method and properties from your PC. You have to use the Remote PC Operation configuration (check the installation guide). Once installed on your computer go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Agilent\89600B VSA 13.0\89601B VSA and execute "RegisterVsaCOM.exe". You should then be able to access the VSA functions and properties.

Since that is the case, Is there a way to use the VSA software installed on the PXA system another way than ActiveX?

Thanks for the help.
