Using Scroll button mouse

My mouse (Logitech) has a scroll wheel that also has a Left/Right ability.

So, for example, on a window that has both horizontal and vertical scroll bars, it ( the mouse ) can scroll Up/Down and Left/Right.

But in a LabView window the horizontal does not function.

Make sense?

thanks

If you want to use these function you need some more DLLs calls into windows.

To scroll a LabVIEW window horizontally, just hover the horizontal scroll-bar and normal-scroll

Support!

Wouldn't it be nice if there is some way LabVIEW can take all the advantage of mice around the market??

I brought one Logitech mouse today because I thought it can make me more productive, but seems i'm wrong...

The thing is, I'm using two monitors, so sometimes it's not convention to position my mouse curse on the left-right scroll bar, when i'm put two monitor on top of another one.

This is a public forum, driven primarily by volunteers, like me. While NI does answer questions in this forum it should not be your primary source for technical support. For that you should contact tech support directly.

Like how, specifically?

Productive how? It's not really LabVIEW's job to cater to all mice. Ask this question another way: should Visual Studio cater to all mice? If so, why and how?

"driven primarily by volunteers, like me"

you mean... 'like us' don't you?

how about something productive, like TCPlomp said...  "more dll calls".   What does that mean and how do i achieve it?  It sounds like a viable idea, i just don't know how to get there.

would scripting help? i've never done scripting.

would a right click context from JKI work?

dunno... never done those either.

I'm sorry, but that was completely incomprehensible. First you were talking about mice, then you were talking about DLL calls, then you were talking about scripting, then you were talking about the right-click framework from JKI.

I have no idea what you're trying to say. スマイリー びっくりした

I'm sorry,  i'll try to clarify.

Instead of trolling the forums berating people about their grammar, rhetorical statements, and idle remarks...  offer productive technical based solutions and stop hijacking peoples posts.  Like you did with this one.

Did you offer ANY insight to the original posters question about how to get a mouse with a side to side scroll wheel to work in LabVIEW?

Look at this threads history.  Every year or so, somebody (like me) does a search for such a solution and ends up here.  Puts in a post to bump it to the top of the board and waits for ideas.  Plomp offered a comment on having to use dll calls.  You got anything productive to offer?

Clear enough?

Do you? You make a vague statement about wouldn't it be nice if LabVIEW took all the advantage of mice around the market. I asked you in what manner, specifically. Mice today have tons of functions. If you're looking to get horizontal scrolling implemented then vote for the idea or the alternate idea. If you want something else implemented then indicate what you want implemented instead of making a vague wish about "all the advantages of mice".
