Using Remote Desktop ActiveX control

I am trying to make a remote desktop connection using the Microsoft RDP activeX control.  Can anyone point me to documentation or an example of how to make this work?  I have tried some of the methods and properties but have not found the right combination.

Thanks, it is good information and helps me understand some of the terms, but I need direction on order of applying the properties and methods to make the connection to a remote computer.
