Actually part of my problem is that I'm using labview 7 and it's kind of problematic sometimes - a round colorbox would have been great!  I actually tried to make one using the customize control panel and starting with the square one - unsuccessfully. 

I have access to 8.1 on another machine that is not very convienient.  And this is a probably topic for another thread - but it seems to be impossible for me to view the accepted solution to the carwash problem (posted in 8.15 or something) without upgrading... 

I need to really look at all the new gizmos on 8.

Indeed, as you will not be taking the test in LV7. You will be using the latest version of LabVIEW. (Which has a lot more gizmos. )

My 4 color LED (4ColorLED.vi) example is in LabVIEW 7.0.

You can make a round color LED using these instructions.
