Real time graph

I got confused with someone's question while discussing.

Need to clarify some basics:

What is a Real Time graph with continous acquisition?

1. Chart, waveform, XY graph, all can show real time data.

2. Do we need to set the X-axis with date/time icon or some time stamp? I need every second value.

3. If I am using DAQ VIs and I use DAQ read and directly connect the waveform with the incoming data from the channels? Is it not real time data?

Please clarify!

Could you clarify a couple of things about your application? Specifically:

1. How are you defining "Real Time" in this context?

2. Could you give a little more info about your system and how you're acquiring data? That will help to answer your third question.

What do you mean by "real-time" and why can't you spell out "friends"  and "please"? This is not a text messaging site.

Adding to that you have to start a new thread to ask your queries

If using DAQ, then you can select to acquire a waveform or waveforms. Waveform data includes time information (start time and delta t) which is shown automatically on the Waveform graph on the X-axis. If you want a "scrolling graph" then use a Waveform Chart.
