Thanks to you both!

I think I can now work with this solutions. Like always there are several ways to do things. I guess I take the second solution. However, the first solution of TiTou is interesting too.
As a Labview newbie I have learnt a lot today, thanks.

TiTou: About my French knowledge: Even though I am Swiss, my French belongs not the the things I can be proud of. In school I had 8 years French! But don't ask me anything apart from "salut" and things like "comment tu t'appelle?". The sad thing is, I shared the flat with a French student and have learnt only stupid words Smiley Happy)

Yes, sometimes the world seems not to be very big.

I am from the northwestern part of Switzerland (Brugg, near to Baden).

Hello,

I know this topic is very old but I didnt want to open a new topic with the same question.

My problem is:

I would like to run a subVI in the background (hidden) and I did this using File -> Properties, but I would like to add a possibility for users to click on a button to show the dialog what is going on at the other VI.

How can I do this? I could find the option to run another VI in property node.

Thank you for your response,
