Need someone to show LabView to small group of Interface Designers

My name is Randall Reetz. I run a little research group called Future
Systems (BayCHI/SIGCHI/ACM)...

http://www.baychi.org/bof/future/

We are interested in deep tools that help make good human/computer
interaction the default and not the exception. In this vein... we are
trying to put together a series of talks on Rapid Development Tools and
other Interface design and programming environments.

We have a meeting scheduled a for Tues. night... a presentation of
LabView by a National Instruments engineer.

http://www.baychi.org/bof/future/20050719a/

However... I think this presentation will be scrubbed (presenter
schedule conflict)... unless someone proficient in LabView who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area can present this Tues. evening the 19th of July, 2005.

This is an informal group of 10 to 15 people. All of us have deep experience in Software Interface design and development... and are interested in LabView as a Rapid Development Tool. We meet in a classroom on the Stanford University campus.

If you are interested please write or call:

I've done extensive HMI programming in labview.   Labview has lots of merrits, however, it is not as flexible as VB or C/C++, it is also not very efficient when rendering graphics.  But it is not a problem if you have a powerful computer.

Ben,
I don't know if he took your advice but the web link he supplied shows Jim Kring as the speaker for the 19th.

Thanks for the referral, Ben.  I am flattered by your kind words.

Yes, I did present at this meeting and it was very fun to discuss LabVIEW and graphical programming with this group of energetic and passionate individuals.  We stayed way too late (6:30 PM to 11 PM) discussing LabVIEW and the future of computer human interaction.  I met some very interesting people with some great ideas, and I will certainly try to attend some of their meetings, in the future.
