My system doesn't recognize NI USB 6009 Device.

Hi,

At last my system recognizes the device. It is appearing in both the device manager and MAX. I don't know what was the problem, but luckily(?) the problem was solved.

I followed the following steps:

1. Uninstall DAQmx Base 3.2 from my MAC. (Probably the device took the MAC firmware, not sure. So uninstalling might work)

2. As Christina suggest, I went to the edit page the VMware and disable and enable again the USB port. (Don't know how this work also, as the USB port was shared already).

Anyway thank you all so much for all your suggestion and time.

I doubt the firmware was changed by uninstalling anything on the computer.  There is a special program you need to run to change the firmware.

Hi all!

I have a similar problem, I'm running LabVIEW v8.5 in windows 7(bootcamp on Mac os x SL) I've installed NI-DAQmx from the CDs that came with the DAQ (btw my DAQ model is USB 6009)

It get's detected in windows device manager and shows up with the NI logo

But doesn't appear in the MAX Devices and Interfaces tree

Every time i plug it in, windows gives the "this device can perform faster" dialog

Pls Help! I have a project deadline closing in real fast!!

Thanks!!

What is the speed of your USB port?  If you get that message, which I haven't seen in years, you must have an old USB 1.1 port.

Mac USB ports have been 2.0 for a long time.

Is the version of DAQmx you are using compatible with Windows 7?
