Thank you for your help.
I found the problem! In a mituotyo parameters, there are 2 output mode SPC and RS232.
If I choose RS232 mode and I write GA00\r, the respons is 911
If I choose SPC mode and I write GA00\r, the respons is 01A+0000.032 when on the mitotuyo screen the value is 0.032 mm!
I don't understand why I must to be in SPC mode to communicate...
Now I will try to extract only the value in millimeter of the read buffer
Hi Rico, I have the exact same input tool and I cannot get it to communicate at all. I'm new at Labview but I've been looking over several different examples. If you got this to work, I'd appreciate your help.
Thanks,
I need to configure for a USB RAW input and for some reason I'm getting an error in NI MAX "VISA (Hex0xBFFF003E) Could not perform operation because of I/O error"
Have you installed the drivers?

I'm not English, why do you speak of RAW? for me, it's picture format.
for the USB parameter, I have that:
9600 bauds, 8 bits, none, 2 bits Stop
but you can change it directly on mitutoyo.
One last question, did you use an input tool with your project, like the IT-016U? Or just the dial indicator directly to the computer.
Thanks,
No, I didn't use IT-016U or the dial indicator.
I have this DMX-1 USB between the pc and mitutoyo.
