Microsoft Outlook Question

I have used the outlook ActiveX VI's which can be found on this board to send email from Labview.  Each time I send an email I recieve the following message.

A application is trying to automatically send an email on your behalf.  I believe this is related to the security included in the recent versions of Outlook.  I am using Outlook
2003.  Is there a solution to allow Labview to send an email without interaction from the user in Outlook.

Thanks
Clark

There are security settings for Outlook that are controlled by your Network Administrator.  You will have to ask them to allow another program to send the email.  I believe that there is a knowledge base on ni.com or microsoft.com that covers this.

If I recall, they were only on the Outlook mail server.

Hi Clark,

As stated above this is almost certainly an issue with the security settings in Outlook.  I did a little research on the Microsoft Office web site and found this document: http://www.outlookcode.com/d/sec.htm  which discuss the email security in Outlook.  I think that you will find information on disabling this error message here.

If you would like to do a little more research, I found the Microsoft Community fairly helpful: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/wizard.mspx?lang=en&cr=US&cat=en-us-office-outlook&p....

Good luck!

Thanks again for the insight.  I'll take a look at some of these and see If I can apply them to Labview.  I have located a fix by using the program express click yes.  But I am a little concerned about the security risks that this may lead to.

Thanks again.

Is there a particular reason for using Outlook? A company name OstroSoft makes an ActiveX SMTP Component that is very slick, easy to use and free--and they aren't the only ones...

Thanks for example.

I am unable to run the VI. I am getting the following errors:

Property Node: Invalid Property

Property Node: Invalid refnum

Invoke Node:     Invalid refnum class

Invoke Node: Invalid method

I am using Labview version 7.0
