I just took a peek into their LabVIEW-SDK: you may use it to learn the functionality, but I would immediatly start to write my own device driver from their documentation… (The example VI for the PT-104 is a whole mess IMHO.)

Suggestion: As a "total beginner" you really should start with all those "Training resources" offered at the top of the LabVIEW board!

Your device requires to use a 3rd party DLL and you really should learn LabVIEW basics before starting with (kind of advanced) DLL calls…

I fully agree with you that the example VI for the PT104 is a whole mess...., and I have learned a new English expression "IMHO" from you...I am sure I will use it somewhere in the future...

I will follow your advice to learn from the beginning...
