Labview Intensity Graph Vertical Axis Label

Here is a little example. I put a text "ABC" into a picture. I can change the font or color. But I can't get it to be vertical.

ah I see...  Ive included a modification to your vi that provides a way to rotate or manipulate a picture image however you wish. I just use a simple array transpose to rotate the 2D image array so its probably not exactly how you want the text to appear but it provides an example of how to manipulate the text/image. Hope this helps!

Thanks Chris. That's also the only way I am thinking about.
But I really don't want to rotate the whole image since text is only a tiny part in my picture. If there is no direct operation on the text alignment, I'd like to keep it horizonal. Nothing could be perfect, right?  😞

Can you create the text as a separate image, rotate using the proposed method and the insert it into your "main" image? It can be done but may be more trouble than you're willing to go through just to get the text rotated the way you want. Oh well just a thought.

Yeah, I can move another "string control" over the picture. But I don't like it, which may cause some problem.
I am just curious whether this picture control can do it inside. It seems the answer is "NO".

Hello,

Chiming in late here, but how about defining a "little image" which represents your vertical text with the same background color as your current image, and then replace a subset of that image data with your "little image."

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestion! I believe it should work.

But I am still waiting until somebody may tell me "Actually, it's a built-in feature of picture control. you can just use node properties to..."  🙂

or, it could be the new feature in LV 9 or 10?

No problem,

An exhaustive search through the properties should give you near certain closure on that, but as for it being a new feature, you should file it as a product suggestion by clicking "feedback" here in the lower left portion of the page - this is monitored directly by R&D and your product suggestion will be seen!
