Labview Intensity Graph Vertical Axis Label

Im actually not familiar with the counterclockwise operation that you referred to. In fact I had first looked for something like that when I first came across this bizarre problem. I wasnt aware that you could rotate text labelsSmiley Surprised. Can you point me to where I can find this function?

Hello,

I probably posted too many times and this part got lost somewhere while you were reading:

"You can right click on the free label and use the counterclockwise operation to rotate it so that it appears in the correct orientation..."

Here are a couple screenshot to help you as well!
Best,

No problem,

To be honest, that was the first time I thought to use it 😉  Anyway, it seems as though if I recreate the intensity graph, I don't see the same problem... I am wondering if somehow your instance of the intensity graph has become corrupted, however subtly.  It looks like you just made the background transparent, and the graph area white... when I actually create a new instance (and even make these changes) then the label seems to behave appropriately (and not like we see with your instance).  Can you try dropping another instance of the intensity graph on a front panel and see if you experience the same problems?  If so, this will be a really interesting thing to try to figure out, because it may mean that somehow a single feature of the intensity graph has been corrupted on your machine... perhaps a repair of LabVIEW from add/remove programs might help.

Anyway, worst case scenario is the workaround, but the behavior is interesting!

Thank you again,

Best Regards,

I have also a problem about vertical label. But it's not in intensity graph.

I am using picture control to draw some plots.

Is there any way to rotate the text label (to vertical) in a picture?

Thanks!

I actually didnt realize this feature either but its been around for a while now I guess...

If you right click a generic text label, and go to vertical arrangement and select clockwise/counterclockwise, you can rotate the text label to replace the problematic labels in some of the controls. I think the labels are pretty stable until you start to screw around with the properties of the particular control/indicator. But the text label rotation does provide a work around. Good luck!

How about the text inside a picture?

Can I "draw" a vertical text?

Im not too versed in labviews picture controls so Im not sure what you mean by "drawing vertical text". You can certainly create a text label and drag it into the picture but it sounds like you are trying to do something more elaborate?

I am drawing a coordinates in "picture control". I want to add labels for X and Y axes. I can use "text to position" to put such a label. But I can't rotate it for Y axis.
I need some simple way to get a vertical text. And I don't want to rotate the whole picture.
Any suggestion?

Can you attach an example of what you are doing?
